Unreasonable expectations

However, expectations have not been met:
- - Niklas Füllkrug (£27m) has yet to start an APL match in the starting line-up.
- - Luis Guilherme (£25.5m) has played just 11 minutes on the pitch in two matches.
- - Other newcomers, including EFL player of the year winner Cricencio Summerville, have yet to perform at the right level.
Team difficulties
Since the victory over Manchester United on October 27, which led to the dismissal of Erik ten Hag, West Ham has won only one of five matches. The team is currently 14th in the standings.
